Canon earns three prestigious EISA awards (Europe)including Best Advanced Compact Camera awarded to Canon PowerShot G7.
The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) named the Canon PowerShot G7 the "Best European Advanced Compact Camera of the Year 2007-2008".
Judges Comments: The Canon PowerShot G7 is a steel-bodied 10 million-pixel camera with a wide range of functions. Up to ISO 400 image noise is remarkably low for a digital compact camera, and with a 6x optical IS lens it is possible to shoot with lower shutter speeds and ISO settings. Despite the lack of a RAW mode, the G7 is a great camera for demanding photographers who prefer a more portable alternative to a SLR.
EISA is the largest editorial multimedia organization in Europe, with a membership of 50 audio, mobile electronics, video and photo magazines drawn from 20 European countries. At the end of June each year, all EISA member magazines gather to decide the award winners, selected from among all products introduced during the preceding twelve months.
